Sammy is a character in the television series Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Sammy was rock star Lux Dujour's girlfriend, in the time after Pollux took over the latter's body[1] and before Lux's disappearance around the year 2001.
Later she had a relationship with the married Agent Nathan. Sammy also at some point was approached again by Pollux in the body of Gordon Rimmer, without revealing his identity as her former lover, and they became acquainted.
Season 1 "A Completely Lost Dog"[]
Nathan left her crying in Room 745 of the Perryman Grand Hotel, where Todd Brotzman sat with her afterwards.[2]
Sammy was a lottery announcer on TV. In that role, she announced the winning numbers of Todd Brotzman's found lotto ticket.[2]
A few days later, she was mourning Lux, whose body had just been found. Rimmer approached her again and invited her back with him to the Animal Transfer Unit at the Seattle Zoo. There he revealed himself as the former Lux and explained about the Men of the Machine. Then, to rid himself of his old life as Lux, Rimmer killed Sammy.[3]
