"Fans of Wet Circles" is an episode of the series Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, the second episode of season 2.

SynopsisEdit

Dirk, Todd, and Farah are happily reunited and begin to investigate what Dirk believes is the case. They follow strange clues and discover the body in the car that fell out of the tree connects to one of Sheriff Hobbs’ cold cases, which concerns a missing couple and their missing son.

The sherrifs and their captives drive to the Cardenas house and start investigating. They discover the door open, and Hobbs and Farah go in the house while Todd and Tina go after Dirk, who wanders off to the barn. Hobbs explains about the "The '67" event, in the aftermath of which the Cardenases went missing. At one point, the Mage approaches unseen and stands close behind Farah, but when she turns around he is gone.

At the Boretons', Suzie uses the wand to clean the house. Then she duplicates money and rolls in the bills on the bed.

In the barn, Todd shows the wet circle he found yesterday to Dirk, who dismisses it and climbs to the upper floor instead. Tina asks Todd whether his relationship to Farah or Dirk caused the Mexican Funeral to break up, but Todd states it was all his own fault. They are interrupted by a hole being blown in the gable. It was Dirk, who discovered a strange gun.

Scott drives at night. When he takes his eyes off the road reaching to the dashboard, his car hits something, a strange pink haired man. The man gets back up, and after both staring bewildered at each other, runs off into the night.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • The episode title comes from dialogue spoken by Dirk, commenting on Todd's enthusiasm for the barn's wet circle: "Yes, for fans of wet circles, I suppose it's very exciting."
